Retail Sector Receives Boost In Talent Development Through Integration Of Enhanced Internship With SkillsFuture Earn And Learn Programme

The five polytechnics, Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and five retailers today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to integrate the Enhanced Internship with the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme. Another 11 companies signed a separate MOU to offer Enhanced Internships for retail students. The signings took place at an Industry Practitioner Seminar organised by the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS), and was witnessed by Mr Ong Ye Kung, Acting Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills).

Inaugural SkillsFuture Credit Roadshow Launched To Help Singaporeans Kick-Start Their Lifelong Learning Journey

Organised by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA),the SkillsFuture Credit Roadshow was launched today by Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies, and SkillsFuture Council Chairman, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, to help Singaporeans take personal ownership of their lifelong learning.

Enhanced Support For Aspiring Early Childhood Leaders Through SkillsFuture Study Awards

The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) has introduced the SkillsFuture Study Award for Early Childhood (EC) sector to develop and deepen the skills of EC educators to assume leadership responsibilities. This complements the suite of programmes already available to support EC educators at various stages of their career. EC educators who have been nominated by their employers and successfully accepted into the new Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL) programme can apply for the SkillsFuture Study Award.
