Skilled Contingent To Represent Singapore At the Worldskills Competition 2022 Special Edition

A team of 29 highly skilled youths from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), the five polytechnics, the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Singapore Management University (SMU), will represent Singapore to compete at the upcoming WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition (WSC2022SE) from September to November 2022. Team Singapore comprises the Gold medallists from WorldSkills Singapore (WSS) 2020 and WSS 2021 competitions. The list of Team Singapore competitors is in Annex A.

HP Partners with SkillsFuture Singapore and Singapore Institute of Management to Ramp Up Sustainable Manufacturing and Green Procurement Skills

HP Singapore (HP) has partnered SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) as a SkillsFuture Queen Bee to uplevel Sustainable Manufacturing and Procurement capabilities in the manufacturing industry. The programme involves HP and SIM developing a curriculum featuring 15 courses, while also mentoring manufacturing companies as they develop Proof-of-Concepts to support business transformation.

Four new SkillsFuture Work-Study Programmes to be launched in 2023

The SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme enables polytechnic and ITE graduates to enhance their job readiness and further gain industry-recognised qualifications, through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom learning. Since its commencement in 2015, the SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme has grown steadily, and has benefitted about 9,000 participants with over 190 work-study courses. It continues to attract strong interest from the industry, with more than 1,900 companies on board the programme. This was announced by Second Minister for Education, Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, at the annual SkillsFuture Work-Study Fair today.

SSG Strengthens Skills Ecosystem with Trade Associations & Chambers and Professional Bodies to Enhance Skills Articulation, Aggregation and Recognition

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with five Trade Associations & Chambers (TACs) and Professional Bodies, to appoint them as our “Skills Development Partners”. The signing of the Memoranda of Understanding was witnessed by Minister of State for Education and Manpower, Ms Gan Siow Huang, as part of this year’s SkillsFuture Festival.
