Training Facilitator From Biz HR Solutionz Pte Ltd Jailed For SkillsFuture Credit Abuse

35-year-old Yeo Junwei Joel, a freelance training facilitator for Biz HR Solutionz Pte Ltd (Biz HR), was sentenced to 7-weeks imprisonment for abuse of the SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) in 2016. Yeo is the last of the four individuals to be sentenced for this case.

More Enterprises Bag SkillsFuture Employer Awards For Investing In Employees' Skills Development And Lifelong Learning

A total of 27 companies, including 8 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and 19 non-SMEs, received the SkillsFuture Employer Awards this year. These exemplary employers lead the way in championing the skills development of their employees and building a culture of lifelong learning at their workplaces. 13 more employers received the award this year compared to last year. Separate award categories were also introduced for SMEs and non-SMEs to recognise the different human capital development efforts and practices of SMEs and non-SMEs.

Over 1,000 Local Companies To Benefit From The National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning by 2023

Companies can now receive support in building up their work-learn capabilities and developing workplace learning systems, with the launch of the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE). Led by Nanyang Polytechnic and supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), the Centre is a collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (SFIVET), and the German Chamber of Industry & Commerce (IHK Akademie).

Since its inception, about 2,400 fresh graduates from the polytechnics and Institute of Technical Education (ITE) have benefited from the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme (ELP). SAP SE today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the SAP Skills University Singapore. Witnessed by Minister for Education Ong Ye Kung, the collaboration was inked by SAP SE, the five polytechnics – Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic – and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
