How are the workshops conducted?

The SkillsFuture Advice workshop comprises educational, interactive and reflective activities to help you understand the importance of planning for career and skills upgrading. The workshop will also share what SkillsFuture is about and how to use the various resources and tools for career planning and skills upgrading.

What is the duration of a workshop?

The SkillsFuture Advice workshop is about 1.5 hours.

Is there a fee to pay for the workshop?

There is no fee payable for the SkillsFuture Advice workshops.

What languages are the workshops conducted in?

The SkillsFuture Advice workshop is available in English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil.

What should I wear to the workshop?

There is no dress code for the SkillsFuture Advice workshop. Nonetheless, if you tend to feel cold in air-conditioned rooms, you may wish to bring along a jacket as some workshop venues may be air-conditioned.

What do I have to bring along to the workshop?

As participants will be guided to navigate through the MySkillsFuture Portal, you are encouraged to bring along a smartphone, laptop or mobile tablet with internet connection for the SkillsFuture Advice workshop.

Is there complimentary parking at the workshop venue?

Normal parking charges (if any) will apply.

Is there any certificate of completion or monetary incentive for me if I complete the workshop?

The objective of the SkillsFuture Advice workshop is to enable individuals to better understand the government’s initiatives that can help them in their career planning and skills upgrading. Therefore there is no certification or monetary incentives upon completion of the free workshop.

Target Audience

Can students go through the workshop for education and career advice?

The SkillsFuture Advice workshops are open to all Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents. While there is no age restriction, the workshop is most useful for individuals who are already working or planning to enter the workforce or return to the workforce.

Students can approach their school’s career guidance office for specific education and career advice.

Can employers send staff to attend the workshop?

Organisations can contact https://www.lli.sg/contact-us for further discussion. Similarly, there is no fee payable for your staff.

Registration

How do I sign up for a workshop?

The SkillsFuture Advice workshops are open to all Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents. To sign up for the workshop, please contact the SkillsFuture Singapore at 6785 5785 or register immediately here.

How do I cancel or amend my registration for the workshop?

If you have registered for the SkillsFuture Advice workshop but are unable to attend, please contact us at least 3 working days in advance so we can reallocate the seat to another interested individual.

Alternatively, you may contact the SkillsFuture Singapore at 6785 5785 with the workshop details so that we can provide the necessary assistance.

Registration for another workshop will be subject to availability. We may also direct you to your nearest CDC to find out more about the other sessions available.

May I only attend part of the workshop?

You are strongly encouraged to complete the entire SkillsFuture Advice workshop in order to fully benefit from the workshop and get a comprehensive understanding of the information shared.

Is there a limit to the number of workshops that I can sign up for?

There is no restriction on the number of SkillsFuture Advice workshops that you can take part in. However, priority will be reserved for first timers if there is a capacity constraint.
