Young Talent Programme (YTP)

1. The Young Talent Programme (YTP) helps young talent have a meaningful international immersion experience and to better prepare them for future global careers.

2. It currently supports Singaporeans from participating local universities including NTU, NUS and SMU to take on market immersion opportunities such as internships and work-study programmes.

3. As part of the SkillsFuture initiative, IE Singapore will extend the YTP to all Polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). The expanded YTP will provide more opportunities for young Singaporean talent to gain valuable overseas working experience, international experiences and be better prepared to take on global careers.

4. Students can apply for the YTP through the participating Polytechnics and the ITE from Q3 2015. IE Singapore will co-fund subsistence allowance for the participating students with the educational institutes.

5. Participating educational institutes will assess applications of students and approve their participation for the internship and work-study programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for Students

6. The eligibility criteria for students are:

• Must be a Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident;
• Must clear the institution’s selection process; and
• Should meet the minimum CAP/ GPA. 7.
