This appointment recognises ST Logistics' capabilities in upskilling and reskilling its workforce, and its commitment to uplift its value-chain network of approximately 100-120 suppliers and contractors, of which nearly 80% are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Under the SkillsFuture Queen Bee partnership, ST Logistics will share its best practices and help companies within its network develop skills plans to address skills gaps and upskill their workforce. ST Logistics will work with strategic learning partners such as the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) led by Nanyang Polytechnic, National University of Singapore, NTUC LearningHub, Republic Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Technology to curate customised learning solutions in key areas such as cybersecurity, emerging technologies, workplace safety, and sustainability. ST Logistics targets to benefit at least 40 companies per year over a two-year period under this partnership.

ST Logistics is committed to continuous improvement and regularly enhances its incentive scheme to motivate employees to acquire emerging digital skills, aligning with the evolving needs of the supply chain industry. With a strong emphasis on continuous learning, more than 600 executives and non-executives (76% of its workforce) from various roles, including Warehouse & Transport operators, Procurement, IT, and Finance, have actively participated in upskilling programmes, with over 170 reskilled through Workforce Singapore’s Career Conversion Programmes. These programmes, conducted internally or in collaboration with the Institutes of Higher Learning, are designed to equip employees with essential skills for their professional growth.

ST Logistics will lead the charge as a Queen Bee to support companies within their network to build their manpower capabilities and transformation efforts by identifying suitable companies from their network and facilitate the onboarding of these companies onto WSG manpower programmes.

ST Logistics is committed  to expanding its upskilling efforts to beyond its own organisation, and to contribute to the uplifting of Singapore's workforce. As a company that has received the Workplace Learning Organisation of Competence (Gold) certification, ST Logistics strongly advocates for continual learning and workplace learning, with companies encouraging and enabling their workers to proactively learn, relearn, and enhance their skills, in response to industry advancements and future challenges.
