SkillsFuture Singapore And Oracle Collaborate To Support Industry Transformation

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Oracle Singapore are collaborating closely to support companies, especially SMEs, in their skills and capability development. Embedding the Skills Frameworks into Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud can help organisations drive their talent development and build capabilities within their industry.

The successful embedment of the Skills Frameworks into Oracle HCM Cloud represents a key milestone of the Memorandum of Understanding inked by SSG and Oracle in November 2018. Organisations are now provided with a common Job, Skills and Competency language, to better identify emerging and in-demand skills and equip their workforce with these skills.

Through this SSG and Oracle collaboration, employers and HR practitioners can use Oracle HCM Cloud to gain better workforce insights, and improve their talent development and management, to expedite their strategic HR initiatives. Oracle HCM Cloud solution, together with the Skills Frameworks, can also help employees make informed choices in skills and career development at every stage of their career. This helps foster a culture that supports workplace learning and lifelong learning.

Oracle has also increased its support for SMEs in their digital transformation journey, establishing five digital hubs in the region dedicated to serving the midsize market, that includes Singapore in February last year. The focus of these digital hubs is to provide Oracle’s latest cloud offerings to the SME segment and strengthens Oracle’s commitment to provide enterprises of all sizes access to cloud solutions and resources.

Chief Executive of SkillsFuture Singapore, Mr Ng Cher Pong said, “SSG actively pursues collaborations with key industry players such as Oracle to help companies use the Skills Frameworks for their enterprise and workforce transformation. By embedding the Skills Frameworks into Oracle HCM Cloud, employers and HR practitioners will be able to tap on the Skills Frameworks to develop human capital strategies that support their business goals.”

Managing Director of Oracle Singapore, Ms. Serene Sia said, “Since the announcement of our Memorandum of Understanding with SSG last November, we are pleased to be able to continue our collaboration with SSG. This collaboration with SSG is part of Oracle’s wider commitment to make work more human for the entire employer and employee ecosystem through continued innovation, regardless of industry and enterprise size.”

The Oracle HCM Cloud with embedded Skills Frameworks is now available and a demonstration will be showcased at Oracle OpenWorld Asia, happening from 26th – 27th March at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.
