SkillsFuture Credit Course Directory Is Now Ready

Over 500 training providers to offer 10,000 skills-based courses

Starting today, Singaporeans can access the SkillsFuture Credit course directory to explore the list of skills-based courses which will be eligible for SkillsFuture Credit. The directory is part of the eventual SkillsFuture Credit portal, which will be ready for use from 1 January 2016.

These skills-based courses include courses approved or funded by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), selected courses offered by institutions funded by the Ministry of Education, courses supported by public agencies, SkillsFuture@PA courses offered by the People’s Association, and courses offered by the Infocomm Development Authority’s participating Silver Infocomm Junctions. The courses listed in the directory cover the key industries, and span across 57 functional areas including basic computing, digital animation, literacy and numeracy, web design, human resource, finance, healthcare and advertising. The list of courses also includes online courses hosted by reputable providers such as Coursera and Udemy. As the administrator of the SkillsFuture Credit, WDA will continue to work with training providers and government agencies to expand the courses available.

The directory, which is available at www.skillsfuture.gov.sg/credit, is launched ahead of time to enable interested Singaporeans time to preview, explore and gather the necessary information to plan for their skills and training development. In January 2016, every Singaporean aged 25 years and above will receive a letter informing them of the date of activation of their SkillsFuture Credit account and a detailed step-by-step guide on how to use their credits. The credits may be used for courses that commence from 1 January 2016.

Please refer to Annex A for the SkillsFuture Credit course directory user guide.

“The SkillsFuture Credit aims to empower Singaporeans in their lifelong learning journey of skills deepening and mastery. With the early launch of the SkillsFuture Credit course directory, all eligible Singaporeans can take their time to browse through the course directory, identify the courses that meet their interest, skills needs and aspirations. WDA will continue to work with government agencies and training providers to expand the suite of courses approved for the SkillsFuture Credit,” said Mr Ng Cher Pong, Chief Executive of WDA.
