Oracle And SkillsFuture Singapore Collaborate to Strengthen Singapore’s Talent Economy

The collaboration will support Human Resource processes and companies’ training plans through the awareness and adoption of the Skills Frameworks.

Singapore, 9 November 2018 — Oracle and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at Oracle’s IMPACT Innovation Summit. Witnessed by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Education, Mr Chee Hong Tat, the signing marked the start of Oracle’s collaboration with SSG and its support for the national SkillsFuture movement in Singapore. 

Oracle will work with SSG to embed the Skills Frameworks in Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud, allowing HR professionals, employers and employees to quickly and easily access the Skills Frameworks. This provides them with a common skills language that helps in recruitment processes, talent management, and facilitating learning and development for the organisation. The embedment of the Skills Frameworks into Oracle HCM Cloud, which has Artificial Intelligence functionalities embedded, will help to improve talent management, provide better workforce insights, improve smarter recruiting and facilitate intelligent skills matching to job role. The collaboration also supports the SkillsFuture movement by helping organisations equip their workforce with critical and emerging skills that are in demand.

Oracle currently offers training programmes via partners that are Oracle Approved Education Centers and Oracle Education Resellers. Oracle will work with SSG to extend its commitment to helping Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) and individuals interested in a career in IT to enter the profession. Oracle will also work closely with SSG to contextualise its curricula design and training programmes with reference to the Skills Frameworks.

To further support the national SkillsFuture movement efforts towards Continuing Education and Training (CET), Oracle will also expand its CET offerings through intermediaries such as Institutes of Higher Learning and CET centres, to help build the talent pipeline for the workforce of tomorrow.
