2023 Workplace Learning Conference Empowers Businesses with Sustainable Learning Strategies

10 companies received the National Workplace Learning Certification at the second annual Workplace Learning Conference today from Guest-of-Honour Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs. Dr Maliki also delivered the opening address at the conference.

Themed "Making Workplace Learning a Part of Your Business", this year’s conference recognised exceptional Singapore-based companies committed to implementing well-developed structures for employee learning and development. Introduced in May 2021, the National Workplace Learning Certification serves as a testament to the companies’ dedication towards fostering an environment conducive to continual learning at the workplace.

The certification process, facilitated by the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) led by Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), guides companies in refining their workplace learning practices and processes to better support employee development and growth. The 10 companies receiving the National Workplace Learning Certification this year were acknowledged in various categories below. Workplace Learning Conference

Today’s Workplace Learning Conference was jointly organised by the five polytechnics; the Institute for Adult Learning – an institute of Singapore University of Social Sciences; the Singapore Institute of Technology; and supported by SkillsFuture Singapore.

The Conference addresses how to keep workplace skills strong. Leading companies in this area will share how enhancements to internal structures for talent development created change at scale – which is also aligned to the nation's workplace learning goals and framework.

Distinguished speakers from Rolls-Royce, the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), Fong’s Engineering & Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. and Certis Corporate University shared valuable insights on how they had strategically managed workplace competencies, making workplace learning an integral part of their respective businesses. 800 local business leaders from SMEs and Non-SMEs attended the conference.
