HIGHEST SKILLS AWARD FOR EMPLOYERS
Presented by the President of the Republic of Singapore, the SkillsFuture Employer Awards honour exemplary organisations that champion employees’ skills development and build a lifelong learning culture at the workplace. The awards comprise the SME and non-SME categories.
The Award distinguishes your organisation as an outstanding employer that emphasises employees’ skills development. It is a prestigious symbol of excellence and helps your company gain a competitive edge in talent attraction and retention.
The SkillsFuture Employer Awards is open to all Singapore registered entities, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), corporations and voluntary welfare organisations.

Participate in SkillsFuture and/or other efforts in building a lifelong learning culture in the workplace
Company should demonstrate how it has been supporting the SkillsFuture movement and developing employee capabilities to meet business, organisation and individual needs. e.g. participate in Skills Framework development, work-study programmes, initiate programmes to facilitate sharing of skills and knowledge or send employees for training identified under Skills Framework.
Company should demonstrate how it has been supporting the SkillsFuture movement and developing workplace learning initiatives in the organisation or industry. e.g. participate in Skills Framework development, work-study programmes, contribute to the development of industry-based training centre or establish training academies to upskill the industry and employees.
Recognise skills and mastery when hiring and in the career development of their employees
Company should display a strong commitment to develop a company culture that supports lifelong learning and skills mastery by employees.
Company should be able to show that they have adopted the Skills Framework in assessing employees and hiring candidates, as well as provide examples of employees who have achieved good career progression as a result of this implementation.
Company should also be able to demonstrate how they have influenced other employers to adopt the Skills Framework.
Align employee development efforts with other national manpower objectives
Company has strengthened its competitiveness and sustainability by adopting initiatives to enhance productivity, building a strong Singaporean Core, and/or creating a good work environment.
This could be through:
- Using the Lean Enterprise Development (LED) scheme.
- Fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace for different employee segments such as mature workers and/or persons with disabilities.
