What is it?

 

The SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace 2.0 (SDFW 2.0), is a training programme that focuses on key areas aligned with the digital trends: automation, cybersecurity risk, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) inclusive of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) and in-demand digital tools.

It aims to help Singaporeans and enterprises be better prepared for the rapidly evolving digital economy. The initiative was first launched in 2017 to equip Singaporeans with basic digital skills at the workplace. The enhanced SFDW 2.0 programme offers digital training that is relevant and up-to-date with the latest digital trends for the general workforce across all sectors. Employers who wish to contextualise the training programme according to their specific industry needs can approach SSG's appointed programme partners to do so.

 

Who is it for?

 

The SFDW 2.0 programme caters to working Singaporeans with varying digital competencies, from non-digital natives seeking to build foundational digital skills to digitally savvy individuals looking to deepen their competencies. The SFDW 2.0 programme is also suitable for those planning to return to the workforce. Whether you are starting your digital journey or wanting to stay current with emerging technologies, SFDW 2.0 will help prepare you for the digital economy.

Individuals  

The programme, with a duration of up 1 to 2 days, seeks to equip Singaporeans with emerging digital skills such as AI (inclusive of Gen AI), Data Analytics and Internet of Things required at the workplace.

Employers

Employers will be able to tap on the SFDW 2.0 to equip their employees with the necessary aptitudes and skills they need to thrive in the digital economy as well as enhance workplace productivity.

 

 

How will I benefit?

 

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge to enhance their digital capabilities and workplace productivity, with the following learning outcomes:

  1. Awareness of the jobs and digital skills required in the current and future digital economy
  2. Able to work in a technology-rich environment and know the associated cybersecurity risks
  3. Awareness of various digital applications and tools in work applications, including widely applicable national or sectoral platforms
  4. Awareness of how data and information can be used
  5. Able to gain hands-on experience in using AI (inclusive of Gen AI) tools to improve productivity and effectiveness at the workplace
  6. Perform functional outcomes through use of digital tools and software to access various learning paths and content
  7. Able to follow or develop a post-course action plan to continue learning and further deepen skillsets in the areas of automation, cybersecurity risk, data analytics, AI (inclusive of Gen AI) and in-demand digital tools
