WHAT IS IT?

 

The SkillsFuture Lifelong Learning Award recognises exemplary graduates of Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes who have made significant efforts in their lifelong learning journey and created positive impact by fostering a culture of continuous learning within their workplace or immediate social network.

Each year, each participating institution will select up to three graduates to receive this award.

Lee Hui Leng, Vanessa
Nanyang Polytechnic
Diploma in Business Practice (Accounting)
While balancing full-time work and personal commitments, Vanessa completed a part-time Diploma in Business Practice (Accounting) at Nanyang Polytechnic, emerging as the top graduate and recipient of the ACCA Singapore Gold Medal for Outstanding Academic Performance (2026). Vanessa brought her newfound expertise back to the workplace, introducing structured review processes and guiding her team through digital transformation. Through knowledge sharing and encouraging open discussions, she fostered a collaborative learning environment to support her colleagues in their professional development and strengthening their capabilities.
Luah Xin Yi, Hannah
Nanyang Polytechnic
Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Medical-Surgical)
Hannah topped her cohort in the Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Medical-Surgical) with a perfect GPA and is the recipient of the CGH Outstanding Academic Performance Award (2026). Encouraged by senior colleagues at Sengkang General Hospital, she pursued the diploma to sharpen her clinical reasoning and better anticipate patient needs. Beyond her outstanding academic performance, Hannah’s evidence-based quality improvement project on glycaemic management was adopted ward-wide. She also mentors and takes on a preceptor role, ensuring her learning ripples outward.
Raziana Bibi Binte Abdul Rasheed
Nanyang Polytechnic
Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences
A top-performing student in the Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences and recipient of the CGH Outstanding Academic Performance Award, Raziana pursued further studies to sharpen her leadership edge and prepare for the future of healthcare. She translates this investment at work: a quality improvement project she led on nursing home retail distribution was presented at the CGH Improvement Festival, earning recognition for real gains in efficiency and manpower savings. Recognising the growing importance of automation and digitalisation, Raziana independently undertook informal AI and automation courses to stay future-ready.
Charmaine Maryesther Wee Si Ling
Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Diploma in Business Practice (Administration & Management)
Charmaine returned to formal study as a working adult and graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Diploma in Business Practice (Administration & Management) with a perfect GPA of 4.0, a Diploma with Merit, and an Achieve Group Prize. The skills she built, from business planning to practical marketing, fed directly into her efforts to be an entrepreneur and launch her venture for mental health advocacy. Now pursuing a part-time degree at SUSS, Charmaine is channelling her newly acquired expertise into building a mental health service directory, working alongside NCSS and MOH.
Serene Soh Sze-Mei

Specialist Diploma in Youth Development & Mental Wellness
Serene traded a 30-year banking career for something she found more meaningful: youth work. She was given an opportunity to be the Board Vice-Chair of Ascending Hope Community Services and pursued the Specialist Diploma in Youth Development & Mental Wellness to bridge the knowledge gap. That learning bore fruit— she now also chairs a youth programme committee and aims to shape programmes for young people. Ever the pillar of support, she encourages her classmates to continue their learning journey and advises them on the funding schemes to support them.

Diploma in Engineering (Building Services & Fire Safety)
From one O-level pass to a Diploma with merit, Peter’s journey reflects true grit. Prompted to upskill while job searching, he progressed from ITE’s NITEC to Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Diploma in Engineering (Building Services & Fire Safety), balancing work, family and caregiving. He applied new technical skills to secure a Property Executive role and excelled academically. Beyond self-improvement, Peter’s determination has moved and encouraged others around him to further their studies. For Peter, his lifelong learning journey continues as he enrols in a part-time degree at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
Lim Keng Seng Darion

Specialist Diploma in Aviation Management and Services
Darion's commitment to lifelong learning stretches back to the 1990s. A Private Pilot License holder, he connects his theoretical concepts to real-world aviation practice. His intentional approach to learning saw him graduate with an Honours Degree during the pandemic, earning Dean's List recognition and a book prize at SUSS in 2021. With a clear focus on professional development, he pursued his diploma a Specialist Diploma in Aviation Management and Services in RP and inspired others to undertake lifelong learning by his example.
Nur Izzah Tan
Republic Polytechnic
Diploma in Applied Science (Pharmaceutical Sciences)
Despite becoming a young mother and later assuming full caregiving responsibilities, Izzah never let go of her ambition to learn and rebuild her academic pathway. After facing repeated rejections to return to study, she secured a place in the Diploma in Applied Science (Pharmaceutical Sciences) and graduated with a cGPA of 3.69. Her pharmaceutical training sharpened her clinical work by enhancing medication safety and patient care, and she quietly uplifts classmates around her, sharing notes and simplifying complex content for those who need it.
Wong Kwan Ting
Republic Polytechnic
Specialist Diploma in Biomedical Technology
Kwan Ting started in banking where she automated manual workflows to save her team hours each week. That instinct to improve things never left her. A family health crisis during COVID-19 redirected her to explore healthcare as a profession by shadowing a cardiologist, leading her to pursue a Specialist Diploma in Biomedical Technology. There, she conceptualised an automated health-monitoring prototype, engaged community nurses to validate it, and secured initial funding. She is now pursuing a Master of Analytics and Visualisation at SUSS, applying data skills toward healthcare transformation.
Carolynne Ng Buan Ling
Singapore Polytechnic
Specialist Diploma in Applied Drama & Psychology
Carolynne does not compartmentalise her learning. While pursuing her Specialist Diploma in Applied Drama & Psychology, she simultaneously trained as a Six Bricks facilitator and a cognitive development facilitator for youths with special needs and seniors, weaving all three in her community and volunteer work. Drama-based techniques from her coursework enriched her YMCA sessions with special needs youths; programme design modules shaped her work at the Centre for Seniors. She has also developed her own guided autobiography initiative to support adults navigating retirement.
Seah Teck Ghee

Specialist Diploma in Cosmetic Science
Teck Ghee is a senior anaesthetist who, even after decades in a distinguished medical career, made the deliberate choice to keep building on his expertise. Motivated by a desire to better understand the topical formulations, ingredient functions, and formulation theory his patients encounter, he enrolled in the Specialist Diploma in Cosmetic Science. He came to each lesson early and well-prepared, achieving a cGPA of 3.92. In class, he contributed clinical perspectives to discussions while genuinely learning hands-on techniques alongside younger peers, a two-way exchange that enriched the entire class.
Tanuja Kapoor

Specialist Diploma in Coaching, Guidance and Facilitation Skills
With years of teaching experience behind her, Tanuja chose to grow rather than rest on her laurels. Drawing on the Specialist Diploma in Coaching, Guidance and Facilitation Skills, she adopted inclusive teaching methods for special needs students and contemporary facilitation approaches in her work. Recognised for her expertise, she was selected as a practicum supervisor at SP, mentoring trainee Hindi mother tongue teachers, while earning a reputation among colleagues for her open, coaching-led approach. Now a Mother Tongue Specialist Officer Tanuja leads by example.
Chua Chee Meng

Specialist Diploma in AI-Driven Data Analytics
Chee Meng continually stays ahead of the data revolution by systematically completing three successive specialist diplomas in Business Analytics, Data Science for Business, and AI-Driven Data Analytics, each building on the last and achieving a cGPA of 4.0 throughout. That progression translated directly into his workplace: he transformed his team’s decision-making process by shifting his organisation’s focus from tracking activity-based metrics to outcome-based indicators, leading to more evidence-based decision-making. His influence on team culture and decision-making processes creates lasting organisational impact.
Glen Choo Jun Rui
Temasek Polytechnic
Specialist Diploma in Semiconductor Technology
With a background in business administration, Glen recognised early that succeeding in semiconductor equipment distribution meant bridging a technical gap. He strategically pursued a Specialist Diploma in Semiconductor Technology, graduating with a perfect 4.0 cGPA. To strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers, he also paired this with Chinese and Japanese language training. The impact of his learning is clear as Glen now confidently understands customer manufacturing requirements, identifies process gaps and recommends technical solutions, strengthening relationships across the semiconductor supply chain. His well-rounded approach sets a compelling example of purposeful learning.
Tay Tze Wan
Temasek Polytechnic
Specialist Diploma in AI Solutions Development
Branch Manager Tze Wan made a deliberate choice to enrol in a Specialist Diploma in AI Solutions Development to stay relevant in an AI-driven economy, equipping himself with the technical foundation that his business administration background had not provided. His AI knowledge reshapes how he approaches product development and market analysis at work. He actively demystifies technology for his team, nudging a culture shift from within. His learning journey carried a personal significance too: by pursuing the course alongside his son, he demonstrated that skills renewal is not bound by age.
