12 Singaporeans and 24 Employers Honoured for Skills Mastery and Skills Development

Twelve Singaporeans and 24 employers were recognised for their dedication and commitment towards skills mastery and skills development, at the seventh edition of the SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards ceremony today.

Organised by SkillsFuture Singapore, the awards ceremony was graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam who was the Guest of Honour and Patron of the Awards. At the awards ceremony, President presented the SkillsFuture Fellowships to the 12 outstanding Singaporeans, and the SkillsFuture Employer Awards to the 24 exemplary employers. Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing, and Minister of State for Education and Manpower, Ms Gan Siow Huang, were also in attendance.

The SkillsFuture Fellowships are conferred upon Singaporeans who have pursued skills mastery in their respective fields, embraced the spirit of lifelong learning, and are committed to mentoring and inspiring others. The SkillsFuture Employer Awards, which comprises three tiers – Silver, Gold, and Platinum – honour employers who are exemplary in developing their employees’ skills and capabilities and fostering a culture of lifelong learning at the workplace. This year, a total of 19 companies received the Gold award and five companies received the Silver award.

Since the introduction of the awards in 2016, a total of 155 individuals and 158 employers have been honoured for their pursuit for skills excellence and contributions to skills development in their workplace.
