Suspension of Kaplan Professional's Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications Approved Training Organisation Status

From 1 July 2019, Kaplan Professional’s Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Approved Training Organisation (ATO) status will be suspended for a period of 12 months. Accreditation will be revoked and funding from SSG will cease for all their WSQ courses for the same period.

In December 2018, Kaplan Professional was suspended from delivering courses under the Leadership and People Management WSQ framework for six months.

In March 2019, SSG conducted further investigations and audit checks into Kaplan Professional’s delivery of other WSQ courses. In view of the serious lapses by Kaplan Professional, SSG has decided to suspend its ATO status, which means it cannot offer any WSQ course during the suspension period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.

Kaplan Professional is expected to teach out learners enrolled in WSQ courses which will be completed by 30 June 2019. For individuals whose enrolled courses were scheduled to commence after 30 June 2019, Kaplan Professional is required to place them with other WSQ ATOs to minimise disruption in their learning. Individuals seeking alternative arrangements can contact Kaplan Professional.

SSG takes a serious view of any individual, training provider or organisation which does not adhere to our guidelines for WSQ delivery, and will not hesitate to act against those who contravene our guidelines. This is necessary to maintain the quality of WSQ courses. We welcome the public to give us feedback at ssg.gov.sg/feedback if you come across such individuals, training providers or organisations.
